Most car tire companies produce fewer than 200 million tires per year.LEGO tires come in many sizes, ranging from 14.4 millimeters to 105.8 millimeters wide. They are made using a process called injection molding. Machines heat up a rubber-like material and squeeze it into metal molds to create the specific shape.The material used is a synthetic elastomer, which is a type of flexible plastic. This material must pass strict safety tests to ensure it is safe for children. Most of these tires are manufactured in Billund, Denmark, where the company is based.
